Classes & Courses
Open houses for 1st & 2nd year programs are now being held for the 2014 – 2015 year!
Dates for our open houses are: Thursday, April 10th, Tuesday, May 6th, and Tuesday, June 3rd from 7 – 9 pm. All are welcome, but please RSVP by registering!
Unless otherwise noted, all classes are held at ArborVitae’s classroom: 80 8th Avenue, room 1302 NY, NY 10013 (housed within Tristate College of Acupuncture).
Please note: the entrance for 80 8th Ave is actually on 14th St – just east of the Northeast corner.
ArborVitae classes and courses span a broad range of topics. Our comprehensive workshops vary in level (introductory to advanced) and are taught by expert local, national and international teachers. To see bios of our noted teachers, please visit our faculty page.
As a special offering in our inaugural 2013-2014 year, many of the foundational program classes have also been open to the public, and the current offerings are listed below. You can find our event calendar here.
Please check back as new courses are added regularly.
Pre-registration is recommended! The pre-registered (and early bird) fee is lower and registrants will be notified of any workshop info. Class handouts and any special information will be sent to pre-registered students by email ahead of the class. (Please do check emails ahead of class for this reason.) Also, we determine whether a class will go forward based on the number of people who have signed up.
The Early Bird discount (10%) is only available up till 11:59 pm of the date listed- roughly 2 weeks before a class starts. The discounted price will be seen when one checks out.
Registered Professional Program students receive guaranteed registration as well as additional classes, meetings, personal support, handouts, class assignments, assessment and credit for the professional certificate. If you would like credit for the course, please contact ArborVitae and submit an application.
For a refund or class credit, you need to contact us at least 7 days before the class starts, and we will issue a refund/ credit. We trust this policy seems fair, as we plan according to class size, buy class materials in advance and our teachers often travel distances to NYC to teach, and so it is difficult to deal with last minute cancellations. You can, however, transfer your registration to a friend who would like your spot if you you are unable to attend.
If for whatever reason, ArborVitae needs to cancel a class, we will do our best to give you 24 hours notice and you will receive 100% refund of the cost of the class, or if you prefer a credit for the rescheduled class or future class.
If an outside class has a rain-date and you can not make the rain-date (given that we use it because of weather), you will be offered a credit for the class of your choice.
